Rebuild Magic. Together.

If you find yourself stuck in a dysfunctional “dance” where you are trying your level best to not repeat the same dynamics over and over again, couples therapy may be a great avenue for you.

The basis for couples therapy is to provide a safe and neutral environment for each partner to communicate their thoughts and feelings over different topics currently affecting their relationship with each other. While most clients reach out for couples sessions to work on improving their relationship goals, it is important to note that sessions can also be used as a platform to work on difficult situations, such as deciding as to whether or not the relationship should continue.

In my clinical practice, I welcome couples of all orientations and backgrounds. I make sure to become familiar with couples on their values and beliefs around different topics such as gender roles, monogamy, substance use, and societal subcultures.

I utilize an emotions-focused approach to therapy, meaning that the main goal is to foster a safe environment within sessions such that each member feels able to effectively and authentically communicate their needs to each other to allow for further discussion and work towards “building/repairing bridges.”
